Hazel Louise Lee

LEE, Hazel Louise -- Age 79, of Skidway Lake, formerly of Flushing, died July 24, 2011 at her nieces home, Lori Thomas and Peggy Zinn in Frederic, MI. Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday, July 28 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 5-9 PM Tuesday, and 4-9 PM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Heartland Hospice of West Branch, St. Judes Childrens Hospital or charity of choice. Hazel was born June 14, 1932 in Shiawassee County the daughter of Perry and Thrulie (Ringstaff) Reynolds. She was married to Jack Lee in 1959 and he preceded her in death in 1989. She worked as a nurses Aide at St. Joseph Hospital for 18 years retiring in 1975. She had resided in Skidway Lake since 2001 coming from Flushing. Hazel enjoyed crocheting, latchhook rugs, traveling, crossword puzzles, pets, music and her family. Surviving are: sister Norma Jean Guthrie of Haslett; brother-in-law James Lee of Swartz Creek; sister-in-law Donna Johnson of Flint Township; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews; and special friend Jeanette Bean of Swartz Creek. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and four siblings, Blanch Thomas, Ray Rushing, Dorothy Hemenway, and Laverna Reynolds.
