BEACH, Hazel (Swanson) -- Age 99, of Flint, died June 14, 2010 at Willowbrook Manor. Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, June 18 at Hope United Methodist Church, 4467 Beecher Rd., Flint, Rev. John Ferris officiating. Graveside services will be 4 PM Friday at White Cloud Cemetery, White Cloud, MI, Pastor Jeff Niederstadt officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, and 10 AM until the time of the funeral Friday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Hope United Methodist Church or Heartland Hospice. Mrs. Beach was born September 24, 1910 in Hayes Township, Gaylord the daughter of Harry and Hanna (Jacobson) Swanson. She attended Swanson one room Schoolhouse and was a graduate of Gaylord High School. She was married to William John Beach December 13, 1931; he preceded her in death June 3, 1983. Mrs. Beach had resided in White Cloud, Lyons, Elsie, and Flint Township. Mrs. Beach had worked for Gilbert Realty and was a Tupperware Distributor. She was a very active longtime member of the Hope United Methodist Church. She was a gift to humankind and was always helping others. Surviving are: four children, William (Elaine) Beach of Gaylord, Fred (Caren) Beach of East Peoria, IL, John (Rochelle) Beach of Flint, Dolli (Terry) Niederstadt of Saginaw; thirteen grandchildren, Cynthia (Mike) Hill, Curt (Beth Carole) Beach, Craig (Laura) Beach, Mark Beach, Carrie (Gary) Wintersgill, Scott Beach, Christy (Dustin) Tull, Amy (Joe) Richardson, Tracy (Anthony) Bonadio, Emily (Ethan) Despain, Jeffrey (Michelle) Niederstadt, Jeremy Niederstadt, Jayme (Kobi) Nichols; 25 great-grandchildren; sister Mrs. John (Beulah) Ames; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; young son Robert Harry, seven years old, on August 25, 1943 who drowned in the White River, White Cloud; four sisters; and four brothers.
