Hawa Aboujamra

ABOUJAMRA, Hawa Farah "Teta" "Evette" - age 86, of Flint, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at her daughter's residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, April 22, 2016 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4133 Calkins Rd., Flint with Fr. Pierre T. Bassil officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where an incense service will be held at 7 PM Thursday. Mrs. Aboujamra was born December 10, 1929 in Havana, Cuba, the daughter of Tanous and Dowha (Elhaj) Farah. She married Nayef Aboujamra on January 20, 1946 and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2015. Mrs. Aboujamra moved to the U.S. in 1970. She enjoyed baking, gardening and taking care of her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother to: 4 children, Renee Lahoud, Michael (Gretchen) Aboujamra, Nawal (Robert) Gebrael, Ghassan (Safa) Aboujamra; 9 grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Augette, Alain, Nadeem, Tony, Chris, Lena, and Danielle; 7 great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Venessa, James, Anthony, Paris, Isaac, and Anna; 2 sisters, Victoria Romanus and Jeanette Farah, both of New Zealand. She was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; 2 brothers, Wajih and Badwi Farah; 2 sons, Raymond and Robert Aboujamra; son-in-law, Joseph Lahoud; grandson, Milad Lahoud.
