Hartzel Branham

BRANHAM, Hartzel Edwin - Age 75, of Fenton, died Friday, August 29, 2008 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, with Pastor Craig Dockery officiating. Burial will follow immediately at Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 4-8 PM and Monday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to American Cancer Society. Mr. Branham was born August 11, 1933 in Iaeger, WV, the son of Emmanuel and Lucy (Justice) Branham. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. He married Beatrice Justice January 15, 1954 in Virginia. Mr. Branham retired in 1986 from GM Truck and Bus and was a member of U.A.W. Local 598. He also was a member of the V.F.W. Curtis Wolverton Post #3243. He attended Solid Rock Baptist Church. Mr. Branham enjoyed watching baseball games, wood-working, hunting, fishing, gardening, auto repairs, but most of all spending time with his family. Surviving are: wife, Beatrice; 2 children, Judie and husband Michael Parsons of Swartz Creek and Ricky Branham and Teresa Heath of Fenton; 4 grandchildren, John and William Branham of Georgia, Alexis Branham of Fenton and Jessica Beatrice Branham of Fenton; sister-in-law, Bertha May Branham of Oceana, WV; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gregory Branham; 2 brothers, Arnold and Clarence Branham; 2 sisters-in-law, Bertha and Barbara Branham.
