ZWIERZYNSKI, Harry James, age 76, of Flint, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 at home. Funeral Services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Pastor Jim Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be Wednesday 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Thursday 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Carriage Town Ministries. Harry was born August 25, 1935 in Gaines the son of the late John Joseph and Pauline Helen (Cesarz) Zwierzynski. He married Mary Childs in 1970 in Grand Blanc. Harry was a 1953 graduate of Linden High School and a proud Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving as Corporal from 1953 to 1956. In his younger days, Harry was employed by City Ice and Fuel and also worked in construction, building homes and two local post offices. Harry went to work for General Motors as a set-up man and later retired. His passion was dedicating time to Carriage Town Ministries where he preached for 22 years. He was a giver, who help and loved others unconditionally. Surviving are his wife, Mary; 7 children, Harry Jr "Ski", John, Tina all of Texas, Michael and Mary Ann of Florida, Twins, James of Flint and Julia of Clarkston; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 6 brothers and sisters.
