ROSE, Harry K. - Age 85, of Flint, died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. He was born on February 15, 1924 in Traverse City. Mr. Rose had been a resident of the Flint area for over 50 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. Mr. Rose was retired from General Motors Corp., Fisher Body Division #1 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed "Scraping", woodworking and helping others. Surviving are his wife, Marie; 4 sons, Gerald (Rufina) Rose, H. Dean Rose, Clarence Rose, and Edward (Regina) Rose; a daughter, Sharon (Robert) Hiller. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Wilcox. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 8 P.M. Monday and on Tuesday from 12 noon to service time.
