HOFBAUER, Harry George - Age 51 of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10AM Thursday, June 11, 2009 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Fr. Steven Mattson, celebrant. Visitation will be held 4-8PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek where a Vigil Service will be held at 7PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Harry was born November 17, 1957 in Flint, the son of Andrew and Gertrude Maria (Domesle) Hofbauer. He was a 1975 graduate of Swartz Creek High School and graduated from U of M, Ann Arbor in 1979 with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree. He received his Master's degree from MSU. Mr. Hofbauer had been employed as a Mechanical Engineer with Delphi for 28 1/2 years. Surviving are: parents, Andrew and Gertrude Hofbauer of Swartz Creek; 2 sisters, Anita and husband Ray Rustem of Mason, Christine Sorkin of Florida; brother, Richard and wife Kathy Hofbauer of Mt. Morris; nieces, Amanda Hofbauer, Danielle Rustem and Samantha Sorkin; nephews, Benjamin Sorkin and Aaron Rustem.
