Harry William Bennett

BENNETT, Harry William, Sr.  - Age 76 of Flint, died Monday, September 4, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, September 8, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek with Pastor Scott Planck officiating. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-9 PM Thursday. Harry was born November 26, 1929 in Pluto, West Virginia, the son of William Harry and Orpha (Plumbly) Bennett. He married Patsy J. Bennett on August 23, 1952 and she preceded him in death in 1998. He was employed by General Motors Truck and Bus where he retired after 42 years of service. He enjoyed his family and grandchildren. Surviving are his children, Donna (Donald) Givens of Pelham, TN, Cindy (John) Cannon of Flushing, Harry W. Bennett, Jr. of Flint, Melinda (John) Papke of Flint, Jerry W. Bennett of Flint, Jewel (Bill) Frank of Flint, Brenda (Shawn) Doty of Swartz Creek, Robert C. Bennett of Flint; 13 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
