GULLIFORD, Harriett Louise (Bigelow)- Age 85, of Remus, formerly of Swartz Creek, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in Clare. Funeral Services will be 11AM Friday, July 31, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Rev. Lawrence Gill officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9PM Thursday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Mid-Michigan Hospice. Harriett was born October 1, 1923 in Rankin, the daughter of the late Anson and Pearl (Hill) Bigelow. She married Everett Gulliford and he preceded her in death in 1962. Harriett was employed as a dispatcher by Grand Blanc City Police until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Red Hat Society and Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Surviving are her 3 children, Parna Henry (Don) of Remus, Tina Pesek of Shelby Twp., Everett Gulliford (Kathy) of Beaverton; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Edna Bigelow of Swartz Creek, Janice Bigelow of Linden. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Harry and Gregory Gulliford; and 2 brothers, Leo and Mortimore Bigelow.
