Harriet Spinks

SPINKS, Harriet -- age 89, of Owosso, formerly of Flint, died November 28, 2006 at Rosegarden Assisted Living, Owosso. Funeral Services will be held 1 PM Saturday, December 2 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Gary Insley officiating. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Paul's Church, Owosso, Rosegarden Assisted Living, Owosso, or the church or charity of the donors choice. Harriet was born May 4, 1917 in Chicago the daughter of Joseph and Veronica (Parys) Ziolo. She had resided in Flint and Owosso all of her life. She retired from McLaren Regional Medical Center in 1985 with 24 years of service. Surviving are: brother, John Ziola and wife Betty of Elsie; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews. Harriet was preceded in death by: husband Virgil Spinks in 1956; two brothers, Harry J. and Charles Ziola; two sisters, Irene Zmitko and Helen Harsay; great niece, Kris (Zmitko) Kulhanek; and nephew, Jerry Zmitko.
