Harold Phillips Jr.

PHILLIPS, Harold Jr. - Age 84, of Flint, died June 10, 2013 at McLaren, Flint. Services will be held 4 PM Thursday, June 13 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 1-4 PM Thursday. Harold was born February 26, 1929 in St. Ives, England, the son of Harold and Grace (Stevens) Phillips. He had served in the British Royal Army. He was married to Milicent May Charlton in 1953 in England; she preceded him in death in 1969. He was the "best dad ever", raising his girls alone from a very young age. Harold retired from GM in 1986 with 30 years of service in skilled trades as a carpenter. Surviving are: two daughters, Elizabeth and husband Michael Mooney of Byron, Marilyn Hoops of Swartz Creek; four grandchildren, Sean, Ashley, Aubrey, and Ryan.
