Harold Olney

OLNEY, Harold Robert - age 84, of Flint Township, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, July 29 at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W. Bristol Rd., Flint. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Linden . Visitation will be held 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, 10 AM until the time of service at the church Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Flint Central Church of Nazarene or Olivet Nazarene University. Harold was born September 25, 1931 in Brant, MI, to George and Florence (Gleason) Olney. He married Sharon Martin on July 28, 1950 in Elsie, MI. He worked in sales for Summerfield, Al Serra and Vic Canever Car Dealerships. He then started Olney Sales on Corunna Road. He was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene. He loved people and sharing laughter. He never met a stranger. Surviving are: wife of 66 years, Sharon; three children, Debbie (Marvin) Bosworth of Vicksburg, Kent (Beth) Olney of Bourbonnais, IL, Martin Olney of Corona, CA; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
