MILLER, Harold H. - age 91, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Genesys Convalescent Center. Services will be held 12 PM Friday, October 30 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Wednesday and 1-4 & 6-9 Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions. Mr. Miller was born January 21, 1918 in Flushing, the son of Harry and Stella (DeVoe) Miller. He married Elizabeth Keyworth in July of 1946 and she preceded him in death in January 1978. Mr. Miller was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II in the Aleutian Islands Eastern Mandates and Southern Philippines Ryukyus where he received 2 bronze stars and many other decorations and citations. Surviving are: four children, Douglas Miller, Cynthia and James Lemmond, Richard Miller, Susan and David Shaw; seven grandchildren, Harold Lee Miller, Randy Miller, Tammy (Mark) Lucas, James (Tina) Lemmond, Jr., Justin Allen (Sarah) Shaw, Joshua Andrew Shaw, Jordan Austin Shaw; six great-grandchildren, Kayla and Jarrod Lucas, Parker, Carson, and Turner Lemmond, Jacob Shaw; sister, Jeanette Hagenbutch. He was also preceded in death by: his parents; four brothers and a sister.
