KRUEGER, Harold M. "Coach" - Age 92, of Fenton, passed away May 24, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Burial will follow in Rose Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-9 PM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Harold was born March 6, 1932 in Snover, MI, the son of Gustave and Nellie (Dorman) Krueger. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant while serving during the Korean War. He retired from General Motors after 39 years of service. Harold was obsessed with University of Michigan sports, especially football. A recruiter and season ticket holder since the early 70's. He could be found watching sports all around the Tri-County area. His passion was always fastpitch softball. He played and coached more teams than can be counted. He was also inducted into the Michigan Softball Hall of Fame. The sports world has lost their biggest fan. Along with his love for sports, were his children and grandchildren. He loved his family and was very proud of them. He is survived by his three children, Carol (Randy) Couture, Ron Krueger and Karen (Brady) Shutes; six grandchildren, Kyle (Bailey) Reynolds, Lauren Reynolds, Ryan Krueger, Ashton Krueger, Keaton Shutes and Grayson Shutes; daughter-in-law, Karen Krueger.
