ST. JOHN, Harold James Sr. - Age 82, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend left this life to be with his loved ones in heaven Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Avalon Hospice in Flint, MI. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Pastor E. Taveirne officiating. Burial immediately following at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 5-9 PM and Wednesday from 11:00 AM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Loose Senior Citizens Center. Harold was born in Flint, MI April 1, 1927, the son of Ernest Robert St. John and Mabel St. John (Weller). Harold went to Hoover High School in Flint. He married Lorraine Margaret St. John June 5, 1948. They were married 56 loving years until her death in November 2004. Harold last work for Hurley Medical Center for 10 years until his retirement in 1989 when Harold and Lorraine moved to Fenton to be closer to their grandchildren. Harold loved his many cars and motorcycles throughout his 82 years. He volunteered his time to design and bid out many construction projects for the Loose Center in Linden. He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved friend and love of the last 4 years, Norma Jean Wilke who was his constant companion; 2 sons, Harold J. Saint John Jr. and wife Maureen of Arvada CO, Robert M. St. John, Sr and wife Theresa of Linden; grandchildren, Meagan Talbot (Saint John) and husband Robert Talbot, Robert M. Saint John, Jr. and Jessica R. Saint John. As well as many nieces nephews and friends. Tibutes and condolences may be shared with the family at sharpfuneralhomes.com
