JEAN, Harold Virgil - Age 90, of Fenton, died January 30, 2017. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 PM Thursday, February 2, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church., 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. Jim Rolph celebrant. Burial will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 11 AM until the time of mass Thursday at church. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Harold was born August 20, 1926 in East Kingsford, MI, the son of Peter A. and Mary R. (Weber) Jean. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in WWII. Harold married Joan D. Filer on August 7, 1948 in Flint. Harold retired from GM/Fisher Body in 1981 after 38 years of service as a Millwright. He also owned an income tax business for 15 years. Harold had been a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. St. Michael Catholic Church, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Roscommon VFW and Big Brothers of Flint. He is survived by his wife. Joan; daughters, Mary Ann Abernathy, Janet (Dave) Klinck; grandchildren, Andrew Stone, Ryan (Jackie) Stone, Erika (Jeff) Woolman, Adam Abernathy, Angela (Matt) Palomaki, Alex Abernathy; great-grandchildren, Grace, Lance, Cameron, Abby, Emma, Fischer, Silvia and Stella; sister, Eleanor (Rudy) Mora; several nieces and nephews.
