HUYCK, Harold Mylan - Age 84, of Linden, passed away July 24, 2023. An Eastern Star and Masonic Memorial will begin at 11 AM Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, followed by a funeral service with Pastor Dawn Russell officiating. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Friday and 10AM until the time of service Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to Linden Lodge #132 F.&A.M. Mylan was born July 6, 1939 in Flint, the son of Harold and Esther (Briggs) Huyck. He served his country as a member of the Army National Guard. Mylan coached Little League for all three of his sons. He was a beloved coach for many years, making a positive impact on many. He was a leader and active member of the Linden Lodge #132 F.&A.M and the Eastern Star #175, as well as in the Linden community. Mylan was also a member of Linden Presbyterian Church, where he enjoyed volunteering. He was an avid fisherman on many of the local lakes, as well as frequent trips to Canada to fish. Mylan worked in Plant Security at Fisher Body Flint for many years, then at Flint Truck & Bus, retiring from General Motors in 1992. He is survived by his sons, Brian (Joleen) Huyck, Gregg (Brenda) Huyck and Neil (Ann) Huyck; grandchildren, Madalena, Spencer, Colin, Renee, Isabelle, Charla, Trisha, Rachel, Caroline and Ella; nine great-grandchildren and three on the way; his loving companion, Carol Haller and her family, Dave and Laura Teffner; special neighbors, Kent and Lisa Wabel. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Mary; sister, Sharon and brother, Phil. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
