Harold Croteau

September 2, 1925 — January 7, 2008

CROTEAU, Harold Charles - Age 82, of Grand Blanc, died Monday, January 7, 2008 at Fenton Extended Care.  Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 11, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.  Fr. Gary McInnis officiating.  Burial immediately following in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Wednesday, 1-8 PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions the Marine Corps League of Flint or the Disabled American Veterans.  Harold was born September 2, 1925 in Onaway, the son of Alfred and Delia (Rivette) Croteau.  He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Marine Corp.  He married Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Garant June 23, 1945 in Flint and she preceded him in death February 25, 1999.  He retired in 1988 from GM Chevrolet Metal Fab after 30 years of service.  He was a member of the Marine Corps League of Flint and U.A.W. Local 659.  Surviving are:  3 children, Sherry Ann Nelson of Grand Blanc, Gerald Anthony and wife Lorain Croteau of Flushing, Richard Allen and wife Amy Croteau of Flint; 15 grandchildren, Jimmy, Amy, Bobby, Gina, Douglas, Julie, Tony, Brianna, Brent, Steven, Kathryn, Ricky, Andrea, David, Tiffany; 6 great grandchildren, Nicholas, Chloe, Bryce, Trevor, Brendon, Donovan; 2 sisters, Jackie Williams of Swartz Creek, Delphine Carney of Landisville, PA; brother, Romain Croteau of Flint; many neices and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Albert Croteau; sister, Marie Gilette.  Online condolence and tributes may be posted on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
