Harold Bruce CASEY

CASEY, Harold B. - Age 91, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, October 13, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Buial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 6-9 PM and Sunday and Monday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home followed by a American Legion Memorial Service. In lieu flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Swartz Creek Masonic Lodge #458 or the Swartz Creek American Legion #294. Harold was born October 9, 1920 in Ramsey, IL, the son of Nova Fird and Nina Gladys (Rhodes) Casey. He married Eugena Hudson November 2, 1946 in Flint and she preceded him in death March 13, 2005. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp. Harold retired in 1983 from Jones & Simpson Mason Contractors. He was a life member of the Swartz Creek Masonic Lodge #458 F.&A.M., Swartz Creek American Legion Post #294 and Swartz Creek V.F.W. Post #3720. He also was a member of the Operators Engineers #324, Am. Vets, 40 & 8 #1116 and the Linden Order of Eastern Star #175. Surviving are: 2 daughters, Nancy and husband Leland Wrigglesworth of Gaines and Betty and husband Sandy Herron of Cookeville, TN; 2 grand daughters, Betty Jean and husband Steve Krauchenko of Owosso and Christina Herron of Grand Blanc; 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson; 3 sisters, Beulah and husband Loyd Cox of Griffin, GA, Maryetta and husband Karl Keeler of Glendale, CA and Donna Jean and husband Raymond Spinner of Pana, IL; several nieces and nephews.
