Harold Lee BOILLAT

BOILLAT, Harold Lee - Age 92, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Chapel, Swartz Creek. Pastor Larry Burk and Pastor David Boillat offciating. Burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and Thursday from 10 AM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Rejoicers Senior Group at South Baptist Church, c/o Gary Vandermark. Harold was born on Easter Sunday April 20, 1919 in Novi Township, the son of Howard Lee and Mary Ellen (Pickard) Boillat. He was a 1937 graduate of Northville High School and was married to Jeanette Penrod September 4, 1937 at the Penrod Family Home. He learned the meat cutting trade from his grandfather at "Sam's" in Northville and Krogers. During WWII he worked at Ford Motor Company manufacturing parts for weapons. Later in Owosso, Fenton, and Durand at Krogers. From 1947-1951 he was manager of the Shiawassee River Farm Dairy and Apple Orchard; He worked for Auto Carrier's, Inc. hauling cars when Flint was called Buick City, retiring after 30 years in June 1981. Surviving are: wife, Jeanette; 8 children, Lois Moro of Davison, Juanita Herron of Owosso, Patricia Mass of Davison, Norma (Douglas) Shue of Flint, Linda Bausick of Perry, GA, David (Brenda) Boillat of Flint, Dan (Jan) Boillat of Flint and Ellen (Glenn, Jr.) Crandell of Fenton; 29 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren; Special friends and neighbors for 30 years, Carl and Pat Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Jeanette Lee Boillat. Online tributes may be posted on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
