Hanna KOVACS

KOVACS, Hanna, age 79, of Burton, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Briarwood Manor. Hanna was born November 9, 1931 in Flint the daughter of the late Isaac and Almas (Neesan) Abraham. She married Joseph Kovacs Sr. in 1954 and he preceded her in death in 2008. In her early years, Hanna was employed by A.C. Spark Plug, and later she and her husband, Joseph owned and operated Deville Lounge in Flint. She was a member of the Assyrian Church of the East, the Hungarian Club, the East Side Center and the Davison Center. Surviving are her two sons, Joseph Kovacs, Jr. (Mei) of Modesto, CA, Robert Kovacs of Columbiaville; brother Benjamin Abraham of Modesto, CA, sister, Alice Birchmeier of New Lothrop; niece, Diana Fisher of Ferndale; great-nephew and nieces, Steve, Leslie, Autumn and Amy. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Abraham. The family extends special thanks to Gary, Laurie, Karmen, Emma and the Briarwood Manor Staff for all their loving support and care.
