Hamedey "Bob" ALICK

ALICK, Hamedey "Bob" - Age 86, of Birch Run formerly of Flint, died Friday, October 8, 2010. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at The Flint Elks Country Club, 7177 E. Maple Ave., Grand Blanc. Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of one's choice. Mr. Alick was born February 25, 1924 in Bay City, the son of Sam and Lavica (Merritt) Alick. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He married Vera Alick August 23, 1948 in Flint and she preceded him in death August 1, 2009, he then married Delores Albert October 27, 2009 in Saginaw. Mr. Alick retired in 1986 from the Flint Board of Education as Director of Business Services after 39 years of service. He had also taught and was the golf coach at Flint Central High School. He had resided in Birch Run since 2009 coming from Flint. Surviving are: wife, Delores; 2 sons, Gary and wife Joi Alick, Barry and wife Chris Alick both of Dallas; stepdaughters, Nancy Fredenburg and Terry Todd both of Birch Run; 5 grandchildren, Carly and husband Kevin Venegoni and Kelli, Ryan, Brent and Sara Alick; brother, Ed and wife Cathy Young of Flint; sister, Mamie Maxwell of Flint; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Bernie Hendriksen of Flint and Ken Morrish of Florida; nephews, Ed and wife Yvonne Hendriksen of Flushing, Chuck and wife Miff Hendriksen of Lake Orion, Dick and wife Nancy Irvine of Houghton Lake and Jason Young of Flint, Doug and Larry Dreasky both of Flint; nieces, Nicole Young of Flint, Debra and husband David Standridge of Milwaukee, WI, Barbara and husband Jon Burroughs of Fenton, Deanna and husband Gary Carper of Tennesee.
