VOSBURGH, H. Richard "Rick" - Age 77, of Fenton, died May 21, 2018. Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be 10 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Rick was born September 27, 1940 in Chicago, the son of Harry E.and Josephine (O'Leary) Vosburgh. He lived in Detroit and then moved to Fenton. Rick received his B.A. degree from Western Michigan University in 1963 and his Master's degree from U of M Flint. He married LaVonne Thompson in Cadillac on June 27, 1964. Rick taught History for 35 years at Fenton High School from 1965-2000. He enjoyed traveling extensively in Europe and the Middle East and all of the United States in the summers. He and LaVonne enjoyed wintering in Arizona. Rick enjoyed antique automobiles like a Roll's, a Bentley, a London Taxi, and several ice cream trucks. He also was a collector of toy trains and was an avid pool player. Surviving are: his beloved wife of 53 years, LaVonne; sons, Ted Vosburgh and Jason (Thany) Vosburgh; granddaughters, Kess, Katherine, and Jacqueline; sister, Jeanne Zumburs; and nephew, Nicolas Zumburs.
