Guy E. Corey

COREY, Guy E. 'Stub' - Age 83, of Fenton, formerly of AuGres, died Thursday, February 10, 2005 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Private family services have taken place. Those desiring may make donations to the AuGres Sims High School, Delores Jose Corey Scholarship Fund. Mr. Corey was born August 22, 1921 in Bay City the son of Burt and Minnie (Shirkey) Corey. He had resided in Flint for many years, then resided in AuGres for 20 years. He came to live at his daughter's home in Fenton in 2004. He married Delores Jose in 1946 and she has preceded him in death. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the 88th Infantry Division and was a member of the VFW in AuGres. He retired from Metro Furniture. Surviving are: 2 daughters, Cheryle and husband Jim King of Fenton, Darlene and husband Jim Blackman of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Kim King, Dannett Revord, Alicia and husband Greg Jones, all of Murfreesboro, TN, Melissa and husband Tim Scarberry of Fenton; great-grandchildren, Baylee and Logan Scarberry of Fenton, Kristen and Corey King, Presley Jones, all of Murfreesboro, TN; siblings, Leo Corey of Tawas, Frank Corey, Clara Nicklyn, both of AuGres. He was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie and Burt Corey; siblings, Beatrice Green, George Corey, Elaine Meabor, and Ted Corey; and grandson, Jason King.
