Gretchen E. Bardwell

BARDWELL, Gretchen E.  Age 87, of Flushing, died Monday, January 5, 2004 at Kith Haven. Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, January 10, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Grant Wessell officiating. Interment will be held at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Bardwell was born April 4, 1916 in Minnesota, the daughter of Raymond and Fannie (Hartley) Dietz. She married Kenneth O. Bardwell in 1936 in Flushing and he preceded her in death on February 13, 1995. Mrs. Bardwell had resided in Flushing most of her life and was a member of Flushing Baptist Church. Surviving are: son, Douglas Bardwell and wife, Sandy of Flushing; two daughters, Janet Hinson of CA, Nancy and husband, Mike Gooley of Swartz Creek; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
