Gregory Dale Granger

GRANGER, Gregory Dale - Age 68, of Gaines, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 28, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via Greg's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Pastor David Boillat officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Gaines. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 4-8 PM and Monday, April 28, 2025 from 10 AM until the time of the service.

Greg was born June 24, 1956 in Durand, the son of Jerome Frederick and Mary Lou (Blount) Granger. He was a 1974 graduate of Swartz Creek High School; and he attended Mott Community College. He married Amy Lee Ayers, October 25, 2003 in Lowell. He had resided in the Gaines area his entire life. Greg retired in 2020 from the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier. He was a former member of the Gaines Lions Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and golfing. He also enjoyed watching M.A.S.H., Andy Griffith and Frasier. He was a loving husband and father, loyal friend and co-worker and a proud Papa.

Surviving are: his wife, Amy; children, Damon Granger (Angela Janovich) of Traverse City, Melissa Markel (Kyle) of Rochester Hills, Celia Granger (Ricky Lake, Jr.) of Owosso, Ryan Granger (Jodi) of Flushing, Courtany Smith (Nathan Ackman) of Flint Township, Chase Smith (Savanah) of Rockford and Allison Jenkins of Gaines; 11 grandchildren, Olivia, Hailey, Joslynn, Sarah, Isabella, Luke, Natalie, Cali, Henley, Ryleigh and Brixley; Siblings, Terry Granger (Anita) of White Lake, Tim Granger (Deb) of Haslett, Randy Granger (Sally) of Corunna; sisters-in-law, Liz Granger of Flushing and Brandy Waite (James) of Morris, IL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jeff Granger; In-laws, David and Brenda Ayers; cousin, David LaBree; and great-nephew, Logan Cecil. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
