Gregorio LUNA III

LUNA, Gregorio III -- Age 57, of Flint, died November 7, 2010. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, November 12 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, G-2316 Coldwater Rd., Flint, Fr. Ramiro Reyes celebrant. Interment in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be 5-9 PM Wednesday, 1-9 PM Thursday with a 7 PM Rosary at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home from 9-10 AM Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to the family for his daughter Ashly and his grandchildren. Gregorio was born October 16, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas. He retired from GM Truck and Bus. Greg was an avid baseball player and fan. He was All State in baseball and football for Ainsworth High School. He still holds the batting record at Carman Ainsworth. He also played baseball for Mott Community College. Surviving are: three children, Grace and husband Joseph Helm of Durand, Iris and husband Scott Owens of Swartz Creek, Ashly Luna of Flint, and their mother Arcilla Garza, and their sisters Veronica and Gabriela Garza; four grandchildren, Noah and Natalie Owens, Sophia and Elijah Helm; father Gregorio Luna Jr. of Flint; siblings, Frank and wife Cheryl Luna, Dave Luna, Mary and husband Rick Hyde, Mike and wife Linda Luna, Danny Luna, Pat and husband Chuck Yanta, Randy and wife Sheila Zalud; step-father Joe Zalud; and many more relatives.
