Greg West

WEST Greg-  Age 71, of Davison, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at his residence.

Per Greg’s wishes, cremation has taken place. An inurnment committal will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery with military honors on November 22, 2021 at 1:30PM. Immediately follow the service at Great Lakes National Cemetery there will be a lunch at Villagers Family Restaurant located on 1121 North Saginaw Street, Holly MI.  Greg served in the United States Army from 1969 - 1971 as a Hawk Missile Specialist in Germany.

Greg was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 19, 1950, the son of Randall and Lucille (Howard) West. In 1968 he met the love of his life, Angela. Greg married her on December 22, 1969. He was blessed with two sons, Andrew and Timothy.

After his service to our country, Greg went on to work at GM SPO in Drayton Plains MI. He dedicated 40 years of service to GM before retiring in February 2009. When Greg wasn’t working, he loved friendly wagers on Lions and Tigers games with his best friend, Mike Haglund. He made it a priority to spend as much time as he could with his granddaughters, Audrey and Vanessa. He also enjoyed hunting, camping and wrenching on classic cars.

He leaves behind his wife Angela, of 51 years, Son Andrew (Melissa) West of Highland, Grandchildren Audrey and Vanessa West also of Highland.

Preceded in Death by his Son Timothy West, his parents Randall and Lucille West, Brothers Randy and Bryan West, Sister Sally (West) Mendham, Special Brother-in-laws Mario Riccardi, Joe Wolynski and Ken Mendham, Nephew Jeremy Mendham
