WORTZ, GORDON CARL -- Age 80, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, November 30, 2018. Visitation 1:00 pm Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, 7400 Miller Road, Swartz Creek with services at 2 pm. Dr. Gary Glanville officiating. Gordon was a 1956 graduate of Sexton High School, Lansing and attended Michigan State University. He was an accomplished jazz musician as well as a long time employee of Compuware Corp. After retirement in 2008, he worked for MSU IT Department and served in the food pantry at his church. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia (Baker) and his parents Gaylord & Marian (Barnes). Surviving are: daughter, Elizabeth Smith of Grand Blanc, Son Michael of Sterling Heights, sister Patricia Jean Achterhof of Tennessee. Online tributes can be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
