RAMBERG, Gordon E. Jr. - Age 53, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, June 8, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 10, 2006 at Trinity Assembly of God, 4363 W. Mt. Morris Rd., with Pastor Larry Alverson officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 12-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Gordon was born October 7, 1952 in Flint, the son of Gordon and Carole (McCoy) Ramberg. He was married to Robin Schrader on December 11, 1976 in Flint. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed by General Motors for 29 years; 1977-1997 at Buick, then at Lansing Body Assembly, Flint Truck & Bus. He loved nature and enjoyed walks with his wife, hunting and his family. Mr. Ramberg had faithfully attended Trinity Assembly of God since 1974, where he served as a deacon, elder, usher, lay care leader and taught Sunday School for many years. In 2005, he received the state and national Sunday School Teacher of the Year Award. His presence will be greatly missed by the Trinity Staff and Family. Surviving are: wife, Robin; sons, Gordon E. Ramberg III of Swartz Creek, Christopher Ramberg of Fenton; mother, Carole Ramberg; siblings, Cathy (Bob) Neumann, Ann Marie (Larry) Hunt, Richard (Ilene) Ramberg, Nancy (Mark) Neumann, Cheryl (Greg) Boshaw, Teresa (Kevin) Tobin, Michelle (Jeff) Groesser, David (Patti Jo) Ramberg; mother-in-law, Maxine (Jerry) Sissons; sisters-in-law, Roxanne (Bobby) Beckwith, Donna (Tony) Wallace; Alisha (Terry) Lockhart; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; son, Michael; brother-in-law, Todd Schrader. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the 'angels' at Heartland Hospice.
