Gordon Oliver Crannie

CRANNIE, Gordon Oliver - Age 75, of Flint, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023.  Funeral service will be held 6:00 PM Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on Gordon's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com).  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetary will take place at a later date.  Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.  

Gordon was born January 19, 1948 in Flint, the son of James G. and Barbara (Oliver) Crannie.  He was a 1966 graduate of Flint Central High School.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army.  He had resided in the Flint area his entire life.  He married Cheryl A. Conlen September 11, 1970 in Flint and she preceded him in death August 13, 2005.  Gordon retired from A.J. Johnson Construction Company; and he had also been employed by Walt Johnson Construction and Crannie Construction.  He enjoyed woodworking and most of all spending time with his family.  

Surviving are his daughters, Cherisse Crannie and Carrie Crannie; grandchildren, Tayler Thompson, Mykailynn Morris and Julian DePaulis Crannie; great grandson, Isaiah Smith all of Flint; sister, Lori Henry of Flushing; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ricky and Todd Crannie; and sisters, Cheryl and Vicky Crannie.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
