Goldie Corwin

Corwin, Goldie Bernice Age 91 of Kent, Washington passed away peacefully on March 17, 2015. A memorial service for Goldie and Glen will be held at Mayfair Bible Church, 5339 W. Pierson Rd, Flushing, MI 48433 on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Fireside Room. Lunch will be provided directly after the service at Mayfair Church. Goldie was laid to rest with her beloved husband Glen prior to the service. Those desiring may make contributions in her memory to Providence Hospice of Seattle, or your local Hospice chapter. Goldie joined the Canadian Army January 12, 1944, married Glen L. Corwin on June 13, 1944 who was in the U.S. Air Corps. They were a proud United States Air Force military family who were stationed in many of the United States and England raising four children. They lived in Stockbridge, GA the last 17 years of their time together which spanned just shy of 70 years of marriage before Glen's passing on February 10, 2013. They enjoyed gardening and bird watching on their enclosed porch with a 'cuppa' tea. She is survived by her four children and families; son, Leonard and wife Bonne of Homestead FL; grandson, Clancy Corwin and wife Lynda; great granddaughters, Camryn, Dana and Kelly; granddaughter, Linda; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Haley; son, Thomas of Homestead FL; grandson, Glen Corwin; granddaughter, Twila Wims and husband Mike; great grandchildren, Alex, Andrew and Azalea; Daughter, Barbara Hamlett and husband Lance of Kent, WA ; granddaughter, Darcy Welch and husband Robert; Son, James Corwin of Colorado Springs, CO; grandson, Jason. Also survived by brothers, Robert Merrow and wife Geraldine, Bernie Merrow and wife Marylon; sisters-in-law, Colene Merrow, Betty Merrow, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Minne (Throgmorton) Merrow; husband, Glen; brothers, Leonard, Jay, and Doss Merrow and sisters Mildred Herrick and Ruby Sharp.
