TUCKER, Gloria J. - Age 48, of Flushing, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at University Hospital, Ann Arbor. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 24, 2009 at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, G 1035 Carpenter Road, Flint, with Rev. John Thornton officiating. Burial immediately following at River Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint Sunday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and at church Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Kidney Fund. Ms. Tucker was born June 4, 1961 in Memphis, TN, the daughter of George Lee and Ethelrine (Pugh) Tucker. She had resided in Flushing since 1999, coming from Flint. She was employed by GM Truck and Bus Flint Assembly since 1996. Ms. Tucker was a member of New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church and U.A.W. Local 598. Surviving are: son, Antonio Tucker of Flushing; 3 sisters, Marilyn Tucker of Flushing, Estella and husband Juan Rocha of Tulsa, OK, Karmen and husband Frankie Hobbs of Stafford, VA; 2 brothers, Welton and wife Sandra Tucker of Aurora, CO and Willie Tucker of Arizona; brother-in-law, Frank Riouse of Tulsa, OK; several nieces and nephews.
