Gloria Rossell

ROSSELL, Gloria Dawn - Age 74, of Fenton, passed away April 28, 2023.  Gloria was born August 23, 1948, the daughter of William and Violet Boras.  A graduate of Kearsley high school, she later attended the University of Michigan, where she graduated with honors, while raising her children.  She worked for many years as a Social worker, and was a fierce advocate for those she served.

Gloria loved reading, playing scrabble, singing in the car, laughing with friends and family, and cooking too much food for the people she loved.  She was a great listener, and always made time for anyone who needed to talk.  She maintained a motley crew of misfit pets throughout her life, each of whom she loved and cared for, til the very end.

She loved a good project, one of the best and most challenging, a hud home she purchased in 2000.  She spent nights and weekends, working tirelessly to build it back from the studs, into a duplex, which she both rented out and called home, for the remainder of her life.  Many of those renters, came to be lifelong friends.

She is survived by her children, Trish (Tad Fickel) Rossell, Amanda Zeffero and Richard (Val) Rossell II, grandchildren, Sam, Sabrina, Gannon, Jack, Will, Auggie, Sydney and Peyton; siblings, Bill, Dan and Suzanne, many nieces and nephews, and a handful of special friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
