Gloria Ruth Morton

MORTON, Gloria Ruth - Age 74, of Fenton, died Saturday, October 27, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, October 31 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 806 Main St., Fenton, Pastor Dean Dumbrille officiating. Interment at Sharp Cemetery, Deerfield Township. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Those desiring may make contributions to the Trinity Lutheran Church. Gloria was born April 30, 1933 in Lansing, the daughter of Gerald and W. Marie (Schuster) Thompson. She was a graduate of Hartland High School. She married Russell Burton Morton on June 25, 1955 in Fenton. Gloria worked for Fuelgas in Howell for 10 years and Lake Chemung Resort for 10 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fenton. Surviving are: husband, Russell Morton; children, Russell and wife Kathleen Morton of Edmond, OK, Dean and wife Nancy Morton of Fenton, Lisa Stidham of Fenton; 7 grandchildren, Jason Morton, Lance and wife Katherine Morton, Russell Bradley Morton, Shanna Morton, Dean Morton II, Barbara Stidham, Alesia Stidham; brother, Gerald and wife Geraldine Thompson of Mt. Clemens; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Marie Thompson; 2 brothers, Eugene Thompson, Robert Thompson; and sister, Patricia Hogan.
