Gloria Mae BROADWORTH

BROADWORTH, Gloria Mae, age 85, of Swartz Creek, passed away peacefully Monday, March 19, 2012 at Durand Rehab Center. Funeral services will be 10:00AM Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor David A. Krueger officiating. Entombment will follow at Crestwood Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, Swartz Creek. Gloria was born May 8, 1926 in Gilford Twp., MI the daughter of Max and Lydia (Mosner) Streichert. She was a graduate of Flint Northern High School. Gloria married Donald Junior Broadworth on April 12, 1947 in Flint. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Swartz Creek for over 50 years. She will be remembered for being a wonderful cook. The love of Gloria's life was her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother and doting grandmother. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Donald; 4 children, Jerry (Martha) Broadworth, Linda (Terry) Scrivener, David (Diane) Broadworth all of Swartz Creek, Diane (Michael) Pelky of Gaines; 10 grandchildren, Julie Broadworth, Andrew (Danielle) Broadworth, Stephen Broadworth, Patrick (Amanda) Scrivener, Carie (Alan) Bryant, Timothy (Jaimi) Scrivener, Nicole (Adam) DeKraker, Aaron (Amanda) Broadworth, Jessica (Sean) Knurek, Jennie (Dan) Campbell; 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gerald Streichert. The family extends special thanks to the staff of Durand Rehab Center for their professional and loving care.
