ROCKMAN, Glenn Anthony age 51, died November 15, 2010. Funeral Mass will be held 12 PM Friday, November 19, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide Street, with Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be 10:30 AM until the time of Mass. Glenn was born January 21, 1959 in Flint, the son of Ella Mae (Conrad) and Richard Rockman. He was a graduate of Fenton High School and general manager of the Tri-County Times newspaper for 12 years where he and his staff earned numerous awards from the Michigan Press Association, including Michigan Newspaper of the Year in 2003. Glenn was a life long resident of Fenton and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where he could always be found working at the Applefest the third weekend in September. Glenn was a past member of the Fenton Chamber of Commerce and served on the board of directors. An avid sportsman, Glenn loved hunting, fishing, camping, nature, animals and all outdoor activities, and he had a passion for the environment and recycling. His ready smile, sharp wit and loving nature will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his four children; Glenn Rockman, Jr. of New York, Cole and Iulia Rockman of Texas, Taylor Rockman of Fenton, and Kelsey Rockman of Fenton; father, Richard and wife Diane of Fenton and Florida, brothers and sisters; Richard Rockman, Jr. and wife Karen of Fenton, Craig Rockman and wife Bethany of Fenton, Deborah Rockman of Grand Rapids, Lisa Branham of Fenton and Ron Rockman of Florida, family friend, Robert Gordon of Florida and special friend Liz Curtis of Fenton; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
