Glenn Eugene Harper

HARPER, Glenn Eugene  Age 71, of Flint, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at Riverbend. Visitation will be held 3-9 PM Thursday, June 30, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., (just south of Hill Rd.), Flint where Rev. Dean Dumbrille will officiate a prayer service will be held 7 PM Thursday evening. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Saturday at Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport, TN. Mr. Harper was born January 23, 1934 in Scott County, VA, the son of Roscoe and Verna (Olinger) Harper. He retired from Yellow Freight in 1994 as a truck driver after 25 years of service. Mr. Harper was a veteran of the U.S. Air force. He enjoyed hunting deer, fishing and traveling. Surviving are: seven children, Glen Harper, Jr. of Flint Twp., Kenneth Harper and wife, Linda, Sonja and husband, Mark Walker, both of Lynchburg, VA, Beth Harper, John Harper, both of Rustburg, VA, Robert Harper of Flint, Steven Harper of Tucson, AZ; brother,  Kenneth Harper of Byron; three grandchildren, Cheyenne, Kenneth, Jr. and Ashley; special nieces, Shirley, Glenda and Colleen.
