Glenda Youmans-Caughlin

Youmans-Caughlin, Glenda - passed away after a long struggle with cancer on November 16, 2016 at her home in Linden, Michigan. She leaves a large extended family who will miss her very much. Glenda was preceded in death by her father and mother, James and Iva Gene Ryan and her beloved son, Robert Youmans, and her brother Sherman Ryan all of Flint Michigan. Glenda is survived by her husband, Christopher Caughlin. Her son, Chip Youmans (Laurie), 3 treasured grandchildren, Jack, Max and Ella Youmans all of Naples Florida. She had special place in her heart for Haley, Kelsey, Owen and Evan; her sister, Shirley Ryan Mills of Jonesboro, Arkansas; her brother, T. Jerry Ryan (Rose) of Davison, Michigan and sister, Martha Ryan Talarico of Flushing Michigan. Aunt Glenda will be very missed by her friends and family, which included 17 nieces and nephews, over 35 great nieces and nephews. She was close to all of them. She was Godmother to Nicholas, Krissy, Summer and Brantley. Glenda was born October 8, 1948 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Soon after she was born, her family moved to Flint Michigan. She graduated from Southwestern High school in 1966 and had various roles throughout her life that allowed people to receive her special touch of love. There is so much to say about this amazing woman who brought joy, hope and love to so many people. She loved her family with every ounce of her being and "thanked God for everything" each day. She lived a life centered around the people in her family and was an exceptional mother and Grandmother and a wonderful aunt. She was a great friend to many and beloved by all who knew her. Her spirit and positive energy will stay with us forever. A celebration of her life will be Monday at 11 am at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Burial will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-7 pm Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden.
