Glenda Gay Porter

PORTER, Glenda Gay, age 61, of Lennon, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2008 at her home. Funeral Services will be 1PM Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 2-8PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association. Glenda was born March 6, 1947 in Kentucky, the daughter of Troy and Juanita (Mullins) Haley. She married Danny Carl Porter on April 17, 1965 in Ypsilanti. In 1994 they moved to Flint and in 1998 moved to Lennon. Glenda loved to go shopping. She enjoyed her cats, Tippy, Pumpkin and Kitty-do. But most of all she loved her family, who will miss her dearly. Surviiving are her husband of 43 years, Danny Carl Porter of Lennon; 2 sons, Danny Carl Porter II and wife, Karri of Lincoln Park, David Porter of Lansing; daughter, Dawn Stroud of Mesa, AZ; 6 grandchildren, Amanda, Lindsey, Elizabeth, Aaron, Gregory, Samantha; brother, Billy Ray Haley of Grand Rapids; sister, Wanda Wicke and husband, Al of Brighton.
