Glenda Frederick

FREDERICK, Glenda Jean - age 78, of Byron, died on May 17, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, May 21 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to Leader Dogs for the Blind or American Cancer Society. Glenda was born August 5, 1936 in Hazel Park, the daughter of Glen Alfred and Lela Ota (Keyte) Sherman. She married Charles Emil Frederick on January 23, 1954 in Madison Heights. Glenda retired in 1988 from Precision Metal Spinning after 20 years of service as secretary. She was a member of the Linden Lions Club. Surviving are her husband, Charles; children, Dennis (Shelley) of Linden, Diane Fairgrieve of Byron, Deana Butts of Byron; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Stanley (Serena) Sherman of Royal Oak; sister, Laura Wright of Gregory. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Dara Payne in 2010; sister Dora Haines; great-grandsons, Calvin and Caden Butts.
