Glenda Mae BAILEY

BAILEY, Glenda Mae -- Age 66, of Montrose, formerly of Flint, died November 1, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be 12 Noon Friday, November 4 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint, Pastor Josh McDonald officiating. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Glenda was born March 7, 1945 in Florence, Alabama, the daughter of Vernon G. and Lena Ovidale (Burns) Whitten. She was married to Albert J. Bailey on March 17, 1984 in Holly; he preceded her in death March 29, 2006. She loved her work in the Health Care Industry, and had worked at Kith Haven, Crestmont, and Riverbend. She enjoyed gardening and floral arranging for weddings, as well as making wedding cakes. Her kids and her grandkids were her life. Surviving are: mother Lena Whitten of Grand Blanc, six children, Penny (Jason) McCoy of Florida, Vincent (Teresa) Lee of Owosso, Ronald (Esther) Lee of Grand Blanc, Lisa Lee of Davison, Karen Ellsworth (Clarence Yax) of Oscoda, Michelle Ellsworth (Bill Meyers) of Montrose; step-daughter Jeanie Hassen; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jeanette (Wayne) Waldrop, Shelba (Bob) Gilliland, Larry (Judy) Whitten, Sandy Whitten, David Whitten; many nieces and nephews.
