Glen Gilbert Moore

MOORE, Glen Gilbert - age 75, of Swartz Creek and Titusville, FL, died Saturday, September 8, 2007 at his residence. Cremation has taken place, and interment will be held 12:30 PM Friday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd.,  Holly. Bishop Carl Pangreal officiating. Mr. Moore was born June 17, 1932 in Flint, the son of Jesse Jason and Hattie Clarissa (Hensley) Moore. He attended high school in Melbourne, Arkansas. Mr. Moore married Jackelyn Odykirk on June 27, 1953. He retired from the U.S. Army as a SFC, having served in the Korean War and Vietnam and  received a Bronze Star and Purple Heart during his terms of service. He was employed as a Postal Carrier in Louisville, KY, where he retired in 1992. Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Jackelyn of Swartz Creek; 3 sons, John Moore of Grand Blanc, Richard and wife LuAnn Moore of Gaines, Michael and wife, Mary Ann of Collierville, TN; 6 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Clarissa Leilani Moore; brother, William R. Moore; 2 sisters, Maude Gilmore and Marge McClain; and 3 nieces and nephews.
