MASSEY, Glen A.- Age 90 of Flushing, passed away September 24, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held 11AM Monday, September 27, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek. Funeral Service officiated by Pastor Brad Foster. Internment at Flushing Cemetery to follow. Visitation will be held 10AM until time of service on Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society.
Glen was born March 17, 1931, on St. Patrick's Day in Flint, the son of Glen Massey Sr. and Irene (Hall) Massey. Glen graduated from Mt. Morris High School, but found himself a long time resident of Flushing. He married his love, Shirley Roe, at the Church of the Nazarene on January 17, 1991. He worked for General Motors, and retired from AC Spark Plug. Glen was a woodworker; he built birdhouses and doghouses. Glen was also a generous man. He was very kind and would talk to anyone, strangers even.
Glen is survived by his step-children, James Sullivan of Rochester, Roxanne (John) Lehn of Monument, CO, Nancy (Steve) Waterman of SC, and Ellie Benson of Flushing; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded by his parents; wife; stepson, Ralph Norman; and great-grandson, Tyler Waterman.
