Gladys Louise SNOW

SNOW, Gladys Louise, age 94, of Flint, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Durand Senior Center. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10AM Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G-3139 Hogarth St., Flint. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Interment will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-9PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or American Lung Association. Gladys was born February 7, 1915 in Naperville, Illinois the daughter of the late Lawrence Fous and Katherine Schuler. She married Lester M. Snow on November 14, 1936 in Flint and he preceded her in death in 1963. Gladys was employed as a clerk at the Flint Public Library for 13 years until her retirement in 1972. She was a member of St. Pius X and the Altar Society. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, reading and watching Tigers Baseball. Surviving are her 2 daughters, Judith Riedel of Flint, Patricia Mullen (John) of Swartz Creek; 2 grandchildren, David Mullen of Kimball, MI, Michele Landon (Jay) of Grand Blanc; 3 great- grandchildren, Abagail Mullen, J.C. and Lindsey Landon; brother, Robert Fous (Eileen) of Flint and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Clarence and Gilbert Fous and son-in-law, Frederick Riedel Jr. A speical thank you to hospice nurses, Nancy and Linda for the professional and loving care they gave to Gladys.
