TOWER, Gladwin DeWayne - Age 73, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Genesys Health Park. Graveside services will be held 12:00 PM Monday, May 21, 2012 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to the Diabetes Association. Mr. Tower was born November 29, 1938 in Farwell, the son of Leon and Dorothy (Andrews) Tower. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Ruth Merrill December 16, 1972 in Flint. Mr. Tower retired in 1991 from G.M. Truck and Bus after 31 years of service. He had resided in the Flint area since 1942. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; 3 children, Connie and husband Paul Ruby of Louisiana, Susan Hayes of Flint and Eric and wife Dorene Tower of Flint; 2 grandchildren, Justin and Shane Hayes; 3 great grandchildren, Troy, Hailey and Emma; 3 brothers, Charles Tower of Flint, Norman and wife Diane Tower of Davison and Rodney and wife Debbie Tower of Flint; sister-in-law, Glenda Tower of Flint; brothers-in-law, Tom Sisco of Grand Blanc and Garry and wife Jeanette Merrill of Durand; several nieces and nephews.
