Gina Olivo — September 16, 1978 - July 5, 2024.
Gina passed away peacefully on July 5th following a long, difficult battle with breast cancer. Faithful wife of Michael Olivo. Loving mother of Edward and Emily Olivo. Beloved daughter of Angelo (Sue Schiavi) Guerreso and the late Nancy Sinelli. Dear sister of Anthony (Mallory) Guerreso and Joe (Rachel) Schiavi and sister-in-law of Melinda (Rob) Roach, Sylvia (Gary) Brais, Johnny (Celesta) Olivo, Jesse (Debbie) Olivo, and Peter DeLaVega. Favorite Aunt to Cecelia and Tony Guerreso and loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Gina was a profoundly selfless individual, always prioritizing others before herself. This characteristic defined both her personal life and her professional endeavors. She dedicated herself to raising funds for cancer research as a member of the Susan G. Komen 3-day Team and later nurtured elementary students as a teacher at St. John Vianney Catholic School. Her greatest joy was supporting her children in their diverse pursuits: Edward in Golf, Hockey, and Football, and Emily in Gymnastics, Cheerleading, and Dance. Gina's untimely departure has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of her family, friends, and community. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 9th from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral mass will directly follow at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts be made to St. John Vianney Catholic School in Gina's memory.
