Gilbert Carper

CARPER, Gilbert "Gil" age 58 of Burton, passed away on September 16, 2023 at Hurley Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday on September 21, 2023 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Thursday until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Gil to the Humane Society of Genesee County (www.geneseehumane.org).

Gil was born on April 3, 1965 in Flint, Michigan to Freddie and Emma (Kasbohm) Carper.  He graduated from Bendle High School in 1983, worked as an over the road truck driver and had a passion for heavy metal music.

He is survived by his beloved wife and "princess", Jennifer.  Mother, Emma Carper of Burton.  Siblings, Gary Carper of Columbia, TN; Mary (Dennis) Mallory of Hale; and Alan (Heather) Carper of Burton.  Brother-in-law, Terry Miller.  Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and Gil's fur babies,Tickie, Tia and Boyd.

Mr. Carper was preceded in death by his father; Sister, Nancy Miller; and nephew, Dan Miller.
