Giacomo "Jack" Aurino

AURINO, Giacomo Dominic "Jack"- Age 69, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, February 22, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek.  Monsignor Richard Groshek celebrant.  Burial immediately following at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Sunday from 6-9 PM and Monday from 1-9 PM.  A vigil service will be held at the funeral home Monday at 6 PM.  Those desiring may make contributions to North End Soup Kitchen, 735 E. Stewart Ave., Flint, MI 48505.  Jack was born April 25, 1938 in Flint, the son of Gaedano and Andrianna (Ausiello)Aurino.  He married Barbara Reemtsen November 7, 1959 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Flint.  He had resided in Swartz Creek since 1972 coming from Flint.  He retired from GM Plant #10 after 40 years of service.  He was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church and the Sons Of Italy.  He was an awesome husband, terrific father and a proud and loving grandfather.  Surviving are: wife Barbara; 2 children, David Aurino of Flint and Andrea Aurino-Cope and husband Douglas of Swartz Creek; 2 grandchildren, Trevor and Andrianna Cope; brother, Tony Aurino and wife Nancy of Burton; brother-in-law, Larry Reemtsen and wife Mary Pat of California; 2 sisters-in-law, Susan Goodman and husband Michael of Royal Oak, Ann Ritchie and husband John of Chicago, IL; many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Agnes Branoff.  Online condolences and tributes may be posted at the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
