Ghassan Youssef Moghaizel

MOGHAIZEL, Ghassan Youssef  Age 58, of Flushing, died Friday, July 11, 2003 in Beirut, Lebanon. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4133 Calkins Rd., Flint with Rev. Fr. Anthony Spinosa celebrant. Interment will be held at Bendle Cemetery, Clayton Twp. Visitation will be from 11-2 and 5-9 PM Sunday and 1-4 and 6-9 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. An Incense Service will be held at 7 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Ghassan Youssef Moghaizel Memorial Fund. Mr. Moghaizel was born April 15, 1945 in Tyre, Lebanon, the son of Youssef and Thouraya (Mattar) Moghaizel. He married Rebecca S. Yax on May 3, 1980 at Our Lady Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Flint. Mr. Moghaizel was employed by General Motors for many years. He was a member of Our Lady Of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Cedars of Lebanon Dabkie Troup, AMSYRLEB Club, the Morning Star Society and he was involved in AYSO as a soccer referee. Surviving are: wife, Rebecca of Flushing; two children, Sarah Elizabeth and Joseph Ghassan Moghaizel, both of Flushing; mother, Thouraya Moghaizel; ten brothers and sisters, Nabil and Rose Moghaizel and family, Fayzee and Edmund Daher and family, Nawal and Antoinne Younan and family, Afaf and John Skaff and family, Amal and Josef Jabbour and family, Yola and Raymond Skaff and Family, Marie and Elias Chakar and family, Rhonda and Sandy Ferzli and family, Henry and Brenda Tawil and family, Siham Tawil and family; many brothers and sisters-in-law; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
